2 Dimensional Painting
My paintings often start off from a basic grid and morph from there. They are all executed in acrylic on substrates that I construct (typically wood).
I often document the painting process with individual photographs that I then stitch together into short animated movies. I have been doing stop-motion documentation for almost 20 years at this point, so suffice is to say: it’s a firmly entrenched part of my working method.
My main focus is on intense layering, color manipulation, and abstraction with some hidden imagery scattered throughout.
